Base is wide and stable, 75mm in dia. Legs are strong and rock solid, I only use two or three sections at max and do not bother to open the last section ever, coz its way too high and makes it less stabled. The box contains the tripod and accessories and more importantly a padded bag that turns into a pack back that was large enough for not only the tripod but also a gimbal head or ball head along with other accessories like magic arm or clamps. I even stuffed a telephoto lens with lot of padding There are 3 types of feet available, the generic round rubber, the ball-moving padded rubber & the pointed metal arrows. Some allen keys are also included the base can be replaced with a 75mm bowl (included), which can fit in a 75mm half ball (not-included). You can fit in a vertical column too (not-included). All of this adds to the versatility The bubble level on the spider is broad and can show even slight balancing issues. The base plate tightening knob took some time to understand, similar to a super clamp knob, you can fasten the base plate firmly with multiple turns. Lastly there is quick release pull button for base plate, which wont let your gear fall off even if the tightening know is fully unscrewed. The 1/4" female thread on the spider's side can be used for holding a screen or a magic arm
