The half cage provides multiple 1/4"-20 accessory threads around three sides, an integrated shoe mount, and multiple 1/4"-20 tripod mounting threads, and it leaves the right-side camera handgrip and all ports and controls with open access. The left-side handle adapter mounts onto the cage with 1/4"-20 screws, and the NATO rail is then used in its NATO clamp.
